Affirmation rapide : la guerre en Afghanistan n’est gagnable ni pour les Américains ni pour leurs alliés ; Il est donc erroné et surtout dangereux de faire croire qu’une guerre pourrait mâter Al-Qaeda en rendant les Etats-Unis et le monde plus sûres pour la démocratie pour réprendre une expression de la guerre froide ; hélas on ne peut lutter contre le terrorisme et l’obscurantisme en utilisant des méthodes conventionnelles telles qu’une guerre idiote dont le but n'est pas de combattre une autre armée.

Le plus dur est que la décision est politique et qu'Obama fait un choix pour reculer l'inévitable ou faire durer les choses pour ne pas devenir celui qui a perdu une guerre ce qui tuerait sa campagne en 2012.
To Craig, what does it say that both America liberals and non-liberals know so very little of the world not be able to put themselves in the skin of an Afghan? Why are people who support this war can't see that it won't work simply because the population is neither with them nor with the Taliban? Can you unAfghanistan Afghanistan for it is what we are talking about here? I don't think that it is possible, it would like the French invading the US to force Americans to eat healthier and to have a less conspicuous life by driving smaller cars, taking trains, and leaving in smaller apartments. Their mission would have a noble goal for the planet for it can gain if Americans thought a little more the fact that consumption cannot expand continuously, but it would fail because Americans just like the Afghans would resent being parented for the good, the self-interest of the world.
